About Me
I am an analytical thinker, a problem solver and a team player. Whether programming, advocating for social change, or rock climbing, I couple determination with an ability to logically and methodically think through situations. Working towards a double major has increased my ability to focus and honed my time and project management skills.
In my position at Trajectory, I worked on a program called IndyRent, which was a federally-funded rent-relief program for families affected by COVID-19. Although the program was impactful in itself, the data collected and reported also assisted other community support organizations to plan and direct their resources. During my recent internship with the Youth Art & Self-Empowerment Project, I became more aware of the need for data tracking and analysis for the work done by social justice organizations. My work with YASP took nearly illegible data extracted from criminal court documents and created comprehensive and auto-updating graphs that describe trends of youth incarceration. The duality of my education and experience makes me uniquely situated both to understand the context of the data and to clearly illustrate its meaning. My time with YASP was incredibly rewarding and I am looking for other experiences to utilize my interest in data science for social justice.
